Today is a very important day for this blog. We honor Earth Day worldwide and we follow today’s elections in South Africa. So here are a couple questions to turn our attention to these great events.
1) For Everyone: “What did you do to commemorate Earth Day or what are you personally doing to help combat climate change?”
2) For our friends in South Africa: “What is your reaction to the outcome of today’s election and how do you think it will influence South Africa’s environmental policy?”

We are hearing constant references to global climate change in the news and now let’s start to record what we are noticing. Over the next week and a half, find two stories in the news (radio, television or newspaper) that are about changes in our environment due to climate change. Post your reactions here.
Please include the following elements in your post:
1) The date you heard/read/saw the news story
2) The title of the story.
3) The source of the story (name of newspaper, TV station or radio station)
4) Summary of the news story in 1-3 sentences.
5) Your opinion of the story and whether you think it is an important story or not.
